Online MBA from Drexel Available; ASME Members Get Discount (11/07/03)

Drexel University recently added its top-ranked, online MBA program to the list of programs offered to ASME members at reduced tuition rates.

Drexel programs also include an MS in Engineering Management, Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA), and TechnoMBA (MBA in Technology Management), to name a few.

All ASME members will receive a 10 percent reduction in the cost of tuition.

Using Technology to Combat Terrorists Will Be Addressed at DREX by U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense

Technological approaches are an integral part of efforts to address the threats posed by terrorist use of weapons of mass destruction.

Dale C. Klein, Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, Nuclear, Chem, Bio Defense Programs will address that topic this month during ASME's Defense Research & Engineering Conference and Exposition (DREX), taking place Nov.17-20 at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.

During "Defense Technologies and Weapons of Mass Destruction," Klein will describe several counter-terrorism technology and operational avenues the United States is pursuing in its effort to reduce the threats posed by weapons of mass destruction, including attention to how new technology solutions can create new vulnerabilities.

Klein's presentation is scheduled to being at 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 19.

DREX, will be co-located with ASME's Research Development & Design Expo (RD&D). Both events are focused entirely on the engineering of defense systems and the research of advanced defense technologies.

Through a stellar lineup of speakers and exhibitors, these events will provided businesses and the government with the tools to efficiently and effectively accelerate product development for the public sector.
