ASME Promotes MIT Summer Institute; ASME Members Receive 10 Percent Discount Off Tuition (2/27/04)

ASME's Continuing Education Institute will promote the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Professional Institute weeklong courses running in June, July, and August 2004.

One week at the MIT Professional Institute gives participants unparalleled access to some of the top experts in their fields. This highly focused learning experience allows them to zero in on topics of vital interest and to form rewarding collaborations with faculty and an international network of talented colleagues.

Courses are available in: Biotechnical/Pharmaceutical; Computer Engineering; Energy/Environment; Manufacturing & Automotive; Organizations, Policy, Economy; Physics, Optics, Astronomy; System Design, Data & Models; and Transportation Systems.

Each course takes one week to complete and will be taught by MIT faculty. The cost of a course varies from $1,800 to $3,000, with most in the $2500 range. ASME members will receive a 10 percent discount off tuition if they register at least six weeks before the program begins. All courses are taught on the MIT campus in Cambridge, Mass.

For more information or to register for a course, call ASME at (800) 843-2763 or (973) 882-1167 or visit www.asme.org/education/shortco or contact Amy Geffen at geffena@asme.org.
