Honors Assembly is a Congress highlight once again

On Wednesday, Nov. 14, during the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition in New York, an event will take place that attendees will surely not want to miss — the Honors Assembly, which is an impressive and dramatic audiovisual experience.

This year, the following Awards and Medals will be presented: Honorary Membership to Ernest L. Daman, Helmut H. Korst and Henry McDonald; ASME Medal to Warren M. Rohsenow; Soichiro Honda Medal to Robert C. Stempel; Hoover Medal to Richard H. Stanley; M. Eugene Merchant Manufacturing Medal of ASME/SME to Geoffrey Boothroyd; Ralph Coats Roe Medal to N. Jan Davis; Spirit of St. Louis Medal to Sheila E. Widnall; and the Elmer A. Sperry Award to the French National Railroad TGV Team, 1965-81 and Alstom TGV Team, 1965-81.

The Assembly will be followed by a reception and dinner, during which time those in attendance will have an opportunity to socialize with the award recipients and other attendees.

On behalf of ASME International, I hope you will join us for this special evening.

ASME Committee on Honors
