Career Fair offers additional networking options

ASME's International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition is traditionally a time to get caught up on the latest technology in the field of mechanical engineering.

The Congress also provides an opportunity for attendees to scout out new employment options at the ASME Career Fair.

The two-day event will take place in conjunction with the 2001 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exhibition in New York on Nov. 12-13 at the Hilton.

The event is free and open to all ASME Congress attendees. Representatives from companies such as DuPont, Honda R&D Americas and Siemens Westinghouse are scheduled to participate.

"The ASME Career Fair allows companies to recruit for various levels of mechanical engineer professionals," said Joseph V. Barbieri, director of ASME Member Services.

The ASME Career Fair brings together top employers and qualified candidates in the mechanical engineering industry.

Companies that participate will receive a resume database of all the Career Fair attendees. This gives participants an opportunity to be contacted by interested employers after the event is over.

The Career Fair will give attendees the chance to find out about companies they may not have known and to promote themselves face-to-face or online with hiring managers. To register online, visit www.asme.org/jobs.

Companies that are interested in recruiting can obtain more information on exhibiting at the Career Fair by calling Amy Taylor at (800) 299-7494, ext. 308.
