Former astronaut to lead Congress diversity event
Former astronaut Bonnie J. Dunbar will lead a panel of speakers at this year's Special Event Diversity Forum, which is being sponsored by ASME's Board on Diversity and Outreach.
The forum, "Diversity As A Strategy,"is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 14, from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel. The session will provide the basis for an open and informed discussion about academia, industry and diversity. Read more.

Boeing to sponsor 2004 Student Design Contest finals
The best design entries from each region will compete against each other at this year's Student Design Contest during the ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress, next month in Anaheim, Calif. The competition will be held on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. Read more.
