New recruits fund education

The chance to contribute to the education of future engineers so far has inspired 73 people to become members of ASME.

In the current member recruitment campaign, half of the first year's dues of newly recruited members will go to a scholarship fund.

As of Sept. 14, that fund was near the $4,000 mark. The new recruitment campaign began in August. In order to contribute to the education fund, new recruits must be sponsored by an ASME member.

For more information about how to participate, visit www.asme.org/memb or call ASME's Membership Department at (212) 591-8239.
