Two top ASME division conferences are combined; AIChE chapter joins For the first time next year, two major ASME conferences are joining forces with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers to launch one event. The 2004 ASME Heat Transfer and Fluids Engineering Summer Conference will combine ASME's Heat Transfer Summer Conference, ASME's Fluids Engineering Summer Conference and the meeting of the AIChE transport and energy processes division. ASME gets green light to lead U.S. effort for unifying risk assessment A 12-month project to develop guidelines for assessing and reporting risk will be directed by ASME's Critical Assets Protection Initiative and funded by the US Department of Homeland Security. Government agencies and businesses will be the target audience for the guidance procedures that will be developed during the $1.6 million project. Read more. |
