Although the speaker for the Congress luncheon
is not yet confirmed as of this writing, Myrna Zamrik is attempting
to get a White House correspondent.
If she is successful, it should be a very interesting speech, so I hope
all who wish to attend will be able to do so. I suggest that you call
ASME headquarters and reserve tickets at the price of $27. The number
to call is (800) 843-2763 (THE-ASME).
The following students were awarded a $2,000 Master's Degree Scholarship,
named after Marjorie Roy Rothermel, for the 2003-04 academic year.
Michael Early, Pennsylvania State University, graduate, Region III;
Joseph Hynek, Iowa State University, graduate, Region VII; and Ryan
Urbassik, Wright State University, graduate, Region V, were the scholarship
recipients.
I want to remind every student who did not receive a scholarship from
the Auxiliary this year that loans are always available, for up to $3,000
each. You can obtain the loan application by contacting Janet Watson
at jswatson@bellatlantic.net.
Also, if anyone would like to help with the activities of the ASME Auxiliary,
please contact our president, Nina Webb, via e-mail at jtw@americalink.net.
