La Jolla to host business meeting

The next ASME business meeting will be held June 8 at the Summer Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla, Calif.

Members of ASME's Nominating Committee will be elected during the business meeting. Committee members, who represent ASME's five councils for a two-year term, nominate candidates for the offices of ASME president, vice presidents and members of the Board of Governors.

ASME President Reginald I. Vachon will call the meeting to order at 5 p.m. Following his 2003-2004 State of the Society address, he will announce the location and dates of the 2004 Congress and 2005 Summer Annual Meeting.
