Updates on advances and applications for nanotechnology in healthcare, fluidics and wireless communication are a few of the topics that will be covered during an intensive single-day conference at New York University's Stern School of Business in June.

The meeting, ASME's Second Annual Nano Engineering and Investing Trends Conference, is being organized by the Society's Nanotechnology Institute in conjunction with NYU's Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.

The complete program for the June 20 conference, which includes a listing of speakers and presenters, is now available online at www.asme.org/nano/forum. Registration can be done online or by calling (800) 843-2763. When calling to register, mention the program code NT3.

The technical sessions at the Trends Conference will also cover the applications and advances of nanotechnology in the areas of information processing and storage, materials and sensors, semiconductor tools and quantum cryptography.

Conference attendees will also be invited to take a tour of NYU's Mesoscopic Magnetism lab. The exhibit space will feature companies that are participating in the development or commercialization of nanotechnologies. For full information about participating in the exhibit, e-mail nano@asme.org.

Before June 1, conference registration rates are $75 for students and $125 for members of ASME and other professional societies, academia, government and NYU alumni. General audience registration is $175. After June 1, each of those rates will increase by $25.
