Key participants have signed on for involvement in the "Nano Engineering Investing and Trends" conference scheduled for June 19 at the NASA Ames Institute for Science and Technology in Mountain View, Calif.

ASME's Nanotechnology Institute is jointly presenting the conference with NanoSig, a La Honda, Calif.-based promotional organization dedicated to providing resources for corporations, entrepreneurs, investors, laboratories and service providers interested in the nanotechnology field.

The conference will feature technical sessions that will focus on biomedical, computing, information processing and information storage applications. Several sessions on angel, corporate and venture capital investing, will also be offered.

The participating organizations include: GenoRX, a developer of an electronic process to characterize RNA, DNA, SNPs and others; Molecular Electronics Corp. which develops information processing portfolios for molecular electronics; Nanochip, a developer of MEMS-based memory applications designed to replace the 128Mb and 256Mb applications that are currently available, and NanoSpire, a developer of nanoscale workstations.

The keynote address will be presented by R. Stanley Williams of Hewlett-Packard Laboratories.

Registration is $200 for ASME members and those attending the ISPS conference in Santa Clara, and $250 for all others.
