ASME Supports Science Debate

ASME has joined a coalition of more than 100 American universities,
businesses, and technical organizations on a new citizens' initiative
to bring together the presidential candidates to debate science and
technology policy.
ST-LLC Receives $500,000 for
Second Phase of Code Development Project
Last month, ASME Standards Technology LLC received $500,000 in funding
from the U.S. Department of Energy to continue code development research
related to very high temperature reactors (VHTR), which include the
U.S. Department of Energy's Next Generation Nuclear Plant and Generation
IV reactor programs.
Contest's Design Challenge:
A Robot That Does Windows
Students at more than 100 colleges and universities are designing prototypes
of a window-washing robot that will compete in a dozen ASME Student
Design Competition regional tournaments, which are scheduled in North
America in March and April, and in Chile and Ecuador in May.
