Viktor L. Orekhov, an ASME student member since 2005, recently received a $1,000 scholarship from The American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee. Orekhov attends Tennessee Tech and will graduate in 2008 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Last summer, he participated in a research program funded by the National Science Foundation at Tennessee Tech, where he is also serves as president of the ASME Chapter on campus. ACES was founded to assist engineering businesses and increase awareness of the value of engineering services.
