The ASME Auxiliary is currently accepting
scholarship applications for the 20072008 academic year. The application
deadline is March 15, 2007.
Undergraduate students enrolled in a four year engineering program
are eligible for scholarships of $2,000 for use in their senior year.
Students enrolled in a five year engineering program are eligible for
scholarships of $2,000 for use in their final year of undergraduate
study. Scholarship applicants, excepting applicants for the Rice-Cullimore
Scholarship for foreign students, must be citizens of the United States
and must be enrolled at a United States university in a ABET accredited
mechanical engineering program. Scholarship awards are based on the
applicants academic performance, character, need and ASME participation.

Mechanical Engineering graduate students are encouraged to apply to
the Auxiliary for scholarships of $2,000 for support while working on
either a masters degree or doctoral degree. The Rothermel Scholarship
is awarded to a student working towards the masters degree in
mechanical engineering at a United States ABET accredited institution.

The Parsons Scholarship of $2,000 is awarded annually by the Auxiliary
to a student working towards the Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at
a United States university in an ABET accredited program. Further information

Applications are due on March 15, 2007. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
International graduate students are eligible and encouraged to apply
for the Rice-Cullimore Scholarship of $2,000 granted to a non-US student
studying for either a masters or doctoral degree in mechanical
engineering at a United States university under the Fulbright Program.
Applications must be obtained from and filed with the local Institute
of International Education (IIE) Office or from the Educational Office
of the US Embassy in the students home country. Applicants need
not be US citizens. IIE will send a copy of the students application
to the Rice-Cullimore Scholarship Committee for consideration. For more

The ASME Auxiliary awards loans up to $3,000 per year to mechanical
engineering students for support in the junior and senior undergraduate
years and for graduate study. Loans are interest free until the student
graduates or is no longer enrolled in the program. Applicants must be
United States citizens, be enrolled in ABET accredited mechanical engineering
programs at US universities and hold some grade of membership in ASME.

It is the policy of the ASME Auxiliary that no student shall be awarded
