ASME Power 2006 moves to Atlanta

ASME Power 2006, the Society's annual conference for companies and vendors providing equipment and services for the power generation market, has been relocated to Atlanta. The meeting, to be held in May, was originally scheduled to take place in New Orleans.

ASME Power, which will be held jointly with the Electric Power Conference, will take place May 2-4 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. A single registration fee admits you to the combined events, which are expected to attract more than 4,000 power generation professionals and some 400 exhibitors.

Also co-locating at the center will be the annual meetings of the Combined Cycle Users Group and the PRO Coal Users Group.

ASME Power 2006 will include technical tracks dedicated to power plant heat exchangers and cooling systems; operations, maintenance, reliability and maintainability; turbines, generators and auxiliaries; fuels, combustion and emission issues; and renewable and advanced energy systems.

The technical program will also feature tracks examining combined-cycle power plants; performance testing and performance test codes; and component and system design optimization.
