A Day at the Capitol held in California

Thirty members of ASME and ASCE gathered at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento, Calif., for Region IX's 5th Annual Day at the Capitol.

The topics discussed included energy, transportation and engineering licensing issues affecting California. The program's speakers included California State Sen. Joseph Dunn (left), California State Assemblyman John Campbell and James Roberts, former Caltrans deputy director. Region IX vice president Long Pham is at right in photo.

When the program ended, participants met with the chairman and ranking members of the appropriate committees of jurisdiction, as well as with their individual representatives.
