Four new publications available through
the ASME e-Library
Four Four new publications including
three addressing various aspects of management have been added
to the ASME e-Library on ASME.ORG. There are now 72 engineering titles
available free of charge to ASME members through the service.
The ASME e-Library (www.asme.org/Membership/Benefits/
Professional/eLibrary.cfm) is a members-only benefit that
enables members to access online engineering publications, help answer
questions, and find practical solutions to daily on-the-job problems.
The service debuted on ASME.ORG two years ago.

The three management-related titles now available via the e-Library
are "Management of Technology Managing Effectively in Technology-Intensive
Organizations" by Hans J. Thamhain, "Management of Technology
and Operations" by R. Ray Gehani, and "The Human Side of Managing
Technological Innovation A Collection of Readings (Second Edition),"
which is edited by Ralph Katz.
The fourth new addition to the collection is "Fluid Mechanics and
Thermodynamics of Turbomachinery (Fourth Edition)" by S. L. Dixon.
The ASME e-Library, which is powered by Knovel, includes general technical
volumes, such as "Mark's Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers,"
as well as books on specific topics, such as nanotechnology, materials,
and management. Titles include, "The Handbook of Materials Selection,"
"The Mechanical Engineer's Reference Book," "Structural
and Stress Analysis," "Pipeline Rules of Thumb Handbook,"
"The Mechanics of Materials," and "The Manufacturing
Engineer's Reference Book."
Other recent additions to the e-Library include "MEMS A
Practical Guide to Design, Analysis, and Applications," "The
Natural Gas Engineering Handbook," and "The Industrial Fire
Safety Guidebook."
