Four new publications available through the ASME e-Library

Four Four new publications — including three addressing various aspects of management — have been added to the ASME e-Library on ASME.ORG. There are now 72 engineering titles available free of charge to ASME members through the service.

The ASME e-Library (www.asme.org/Membership/Benefits/
Professional/eLibrary.cfm
) is a members-only benefit that enables members to access online engineering publications, help answer questions, and find practical solutions to daily on-the-job problems. The service debuted on ASME.ORG two years ago.

The three management-related titles now available via the e-Library are "Management of Technology — Managing Effectively in Technology-Intensive Organizations" by Hans J. Thamhain, "Management of Technology and Operations" by R. Ray Gehani, and "The Human Side of Managing Technological Innovation — A Collection of Readings (Second Edition)," which is edited by Ralph Katz.

The fourth new addition to the collection is "Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics of Turbomachinery (Fourth Edition)" by S. L. Dixon.

The ASME e-Library, which is powered by Knovel, includes general technical volumes, such as "Mark's Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers," as well as books on specific topics, such as nanotechnology, materials, and management. Titles include, "The Handbook of Materials Selection," "The Mechanical Engineer's Reference Book," "Structural and Stress Analysis," "Pipeline Rules of Thumb Handbook," "The Mechanics of Materials," and "The Manufacturing Engineer's Reference Book."

Other recent additions to the e-Library include "MEMS — A Practical Guide to Design, Analysis, and Applications," "The Natural Gas Engineering Handbook," and "The Industrial Fire Safety Guidebook."
