The ASME Auxiliary gives loans to mechanical engineering students throughout the year. Currently, the interest rate is 4 percent, although this may change after July 1.

Loans are available for up to $3,000 and the interest does not begin to accrue nor does the repayment of the loan need to begin until three months after graduation.

To apply for a loan, please contact the Student Loan Chairman, Susan Hawthorne, at salenah@aol.com, or call her at (484) 840-0515 for an application.

In the March Auxiliary column, Lynn Gerber was listed incorrectly as the treasurer of the ASME Auxiliary. Lynn Gerber is currently the executive vice president of the Auxiliary. Janet Watson is the Auxiliary's treasurer.

See you all in at the Summer Annual Meeting in San Francisco.

Auxiliary publicity chair
