New courses offered during 16th Bioprocess Technology Seminar

Ten courses — more than half of them new — will be offered during ASME's 16th Bioprocess Technology Seminar.

The seminar will take place Oct. 20-24 at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans. It is co-sponsored by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

The three-day courses are: Bioprocess Equipment and Facility Implementation, which is new; Cleaning Practices: Practical Implemen- tation of CIP for Success, a new course; Bioprocess Fermentation and Cell Culture Design and Scale-Up; and Validation of Biopharmaceutical Facilities and Processes, which is also new.

The four-day courses are: Bio-Downstream Process Design and Economics, a new course; Translating Cellular Therapies from the Laboratory to the Clinic: Biological and Bioengineering Issues, another new course; and Bioprocess Purification Process Development, also new. The other courses are Bioreactor Process Technology; Bioprocess Equipment Design, and Facility Design.

Those who register before August 15 will receive an Early Bird discount of 20 percent off the nonmember rate for past attendees and 15 percent off the nonmember rate for first-time attendees.

After August 15, the charge for the four-day session will be $2,045 for ASME members, or $2,195 for nonmembers. The charge for the three-day course will be $1,645 for ASME members and $1,795 for nonmembers.
