Buying products online is now faster

Buying ASME products online through the ASME catalog is now easier, faster and more efficient.

Last month, improved programming and implementation of a new server enabled ASME to decrease the time it takes to search for documents by 3,000 percent. With the upgrades, a search that once averaged 31 seconds is now down to one second.

These improvements also extended to the searchability of products and functionality of the shopping cart. Shopping cart features allow shoppers to continue searching once they have selected a product and put it in their cart, while keeping an eye on regionalized shipping options and actual related costs when deciding whether to make a purchase.

The ASME catalog online also offers a link to the ASME Digital Store.

The shopping cart and programming improvements are another step in a series of Web improvements that ASME is working on to offer members and others who are interested in ASME products.

More improvements are in the works and will be launched later this year.
