Deadlines approach for ASME awards

A reminder for those of you who are interested in nominating someone for an ASME award: Deadlines are approaching for three of these awards — the Pressure Vessel and Piping Medal, the Fluids Engineering Award and the R. Tom Sawyer Award.

The winner of the PVP Medal, which recognizes outstanding contributions in the field of pressure vessel and piping technology, will receive $1,000, a bronze medal and a certificate. The deadline for nominations is July 15.

The deadline for the R. Tom Sawyer Award, for important contributions to advance gas turbine technology, is Sept. 1. The winner of the award will receive $1,000, a plaque and a certificate.

The recipient of the Fluids Engineering Award, for outstanding contributions to the field of fluids engineering, will win $1,000, a bronze medal and a certificate. The nomination deadline is Sept. 30.
