Feigel takes over as 124th
president
In his inauguration speech, Feigel pledged to guide ASME through a "critical
period of change and redirection" and to promote the profession
and the Society's "rich heritage and dynamic history" in this,
the 125th anniversary of ASME.
Shoup to become president in
'06
Former Board of Governor member Terry E. Shoup was chosen last month
at SAM to become ASME's president-nominee, effectively becoming its
125th president when he takes office next June.
Armen thanks colleagues
Harry Armen stepped down as ASME president last month at ASME's summer
annual meeting, after his one-year term, expressing his deep gratitude
to all the volunteer and staff colleagues who contributed "countless
hours" helping to reshape the organization.
