Armen dons mantel of presidency
Noting that change has defined and redefined the services and programs
offered by ASME since its beginning nearly 125 years ago, Harry Armen,
P.E., reminded the approximately 200 people attending the President's
Dinner during the Summer Annual Meeting that the Society has a simple
choice to make when considering the future.
Feigel named President-Nominee
Feigel, an ASME Fellow who joined the Society 26 years ago, was selected
as the president-nominee by the Nominating Committee. His nomination
was announced last month during the Summer Annual Meeting.

stretch, volunteers and staff are concentrating on the formation of

ASME and Boeing sign agreement
to share strengths
Last month at the Summer Annual Meeting, ASME and the Boeing
Company formalized an agreement that will enable company engineers to
access learning opportunities, training programs, technical resources
and other services offered by ASME.
Lynden Davis joins Archimedes
Club
Davis's contribution of $150,000 will provide support to
annually fund thirteen $500 honorariums and plaques. An honorarium and
plaque will be awarded to the best student section advisor in each ASME
region as a way to ensure that more student section advisors get the
recognition they deserve.
