Upgrade to steam tables software

The professional software version of ASME Steam Properties for Industrial Use has been updated by the Properties Subcommittee of the ASME Research and Technology Committee on Water and Steam in Thermal Systems.

Newly released by ASME, Version 1.1 of this software supersedes Version 1.0.1, which was originally issued in 1998.

The ASME Steam Properties for Industrial Use, Professional Version enables calculations to be done on the spot because it provides Fortran source code, which implements the current power industry standards for thermodynamic and transport properties adopted by the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam.

Several subroutines were modified in this updated version in order to fix minor problems that came to light in Version 1.0.1.

A student version of the software is also available.

Purchasers of Professional Version 1.0.1 are encouraged to upgrade to Version 1.1 free of charge by downloading replacement files at http://www.asme.org/research/wsts/steamtables_upgrade.html.

Those who prefer the format and additional documentation of a steam tables book can purchase the volume — "ASME International Steam Tables for Industrial Use," which was published in 2000. The member price is $60; the nonmember price is $75.

Information on all of these products, and how to order, may be found at http://www.asme.org/ research/wsts/pubs.html.
