Nanotechnology added to list of technical choices on dues bill

ASME's Nanotechnology Institute has been added to the technical-interests list that appears on every membership application and renewal form. The Nano Institute appears for the first time on the dues bill that is being sent to the membership this month.

Every time a new member applies for membership or a member renews their membership, they are asked to check five areas of technical interest. That list helps ASME get direct information about conferences, courses, Webcasts and more in those particular areas of interest to the members who selected them.

ASME's ability to function as a clearinghouse for information about nanotechnology may also entice professionals who are interested in nanotechnology but are not in fields traditionally associated with mechanical engineering to join ASME.
