Old Guard Early Career Engineering Award deadline nears

Nominations are now being accepted for the Old Guard Early Career Engineering Award, which recognizes outstanding early career engineers who actively involve themselves in their profession, their communities, and the work of the Society.

The award is open to current ASME members who have maintained continuous membership since first becoming ASME student members. Applicants should have received their baccalaureate degrees in mechanical engineering between four and six years prior to the application deadline, which is March 1, 2007.

The winner will receive $5,000 cash, plus an ASME prepaid life membership. Two runners-up will receive ASME prepaid life memberships.
