Timo Marquez Arreaza, an ASME member from Maracaibo, Venezuela, has
been chosen as the mechanical engineering "New Face of Engineering"
by the 2006 Engineers Week Steering Committee.
ASME-IPTI Collegiate Council
honored for promoting petroleum engineering careers
The ASME International Petroleum Technology Institute's Petroleum Division
Collegiate Council was named "Industry Champion" at the second
annual Offshore Energy Achievement Awards (OEAA) ceremony, held last
month in Houston.
Online mentors needed for
ASME students
ASME members who specialize in the areas of design, fluids (any industry),
manufacturing and aerospace are urged to sign up as mentors for ASME
student members.
Volunteer judges needed for
Future City Competition finals
Judges are needed for one of the activities taking place during Engineers
Week 2006: the Future City Competition National Finals, to be held on
Tuesday, Feb. 21.
DAG Program awards 19 student
section grants for 200506
A total of $22,860 in grants from the Society's Diversity Action Grant
(DAG) Program, for the 200506 academic year, was awarded to 19
ASME Student Sections.
