Study explores engineering changes

A new ASME study, "New Dimensions in Multidisciplinary Thinking," examines the ways in which engineering practice and engineering education have changed.

According to the study, where traditionally engineers have worked in narrow and specialized areas, today they function in hybrid fields and move seamlessly among several engineering disciplines.

Copies of the multidisciplinary report, order number AF0201, are available for $15 a copy from ASME Information Central, (800) 843-2763 or (973) 882-1167.

For more information on the report, contact: Mary Legatski, ASME Washington Office, (202) 785-3756; e-mail: legatskim@asme.org.
