Training for new ASME leaders offered next month

Connecting Communities" is the theme of the 2007 Leadership Training Conference (LTC), which will be held at the Wyndham Greenspoint Hotel in Houston from March 2–4.

Last year, more than 200 ASME volunteers took part in the conference. It provides ASME members who are soon to become unit leaders and key committee personnel with an opportunity to develop their leadership knowledge and skills, share best practices, form partnerships with other units, and focus on issues that are critical to the success of the Society.

The conference will include a first-time unit leader workshop, which will cover basic organizational operations and tools as well as provide an overview of the Society's organization, activities, and resources; information and methods to help new ASME leaders succeed in leading their new Society units; an opportunity to network with other leaders and ASME staff; and a forum for exchanging ideas and developing program plans.

Attendance at the Leadership Training Conference is by invitation only. LTC delegates are selected by unit leaders in ASME's various districts, sections, technical divisions, subdivisions, institutes, and other sectors. If you are interested in attending, please contact your unit leader.
