Thirty ASME Auxiliary members, including
13 board members, attended the Auxiliary's National Board Meeting on
Nov. 7, 2006, at the ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress
and Exposition in Chicago.
At the meeting, Auxiliary President Lynn Gerber announced that this
year the Auxiliary would distribute a total of $107,500 in scholarship
and loan funding for mechanical engineering students. Gerber attributed
the great success of the Auxiliary programs to the enthusiasm and diligent
work of Auxiliary members and the able assistance of the ASME professional
staff.
The following scholarship winners were announced at the board meeting:
ASME Auxiliary Undergraduate Scholarships: Richard Ali,
David Breeze, Lisa Burton, Elizabeth Diaz, Audrey Earnshaw, Daniel Hanna,
Paul Leonard, Khoa Duc Lu, Justin Mercer, Christopher Odom, Jane Petrus,
Rocky Portillo, Kenneth Rivard, Daniel Schoborg, Marianne Meiking So,
Blake Stanley, Ryan Stobbs, and Jerome Wenning.
Marjorie Roy Rothermel Masters Scholarships: Michael Cundy,
Jared Teague, Kimberly Ryland, Zdravko Salipur, Lance Hibbeler, Megan
Smith, Jeremy Bluestein, and Ellias Patten.
Rice-Cullimore Scholarships: Julianna Abrantes, Vallyppan
Natarajan, and Marcello Ferrari.
