Vienna is Gas Turbine Central in June
ASME Turbo Expo 2004, which combines a technical papers program, applied topics, keynote presentations, pre-conference workshops and an industry exposition, is sponsored by ASME's International Gas Turbine Institute. The meeting, which marks its 49th year in June, will take place from June 14-17. Read more.

New committees seek to increase size of ASME's nanotechnology community
ASME's Nanotechnology Institute launched five new committees — covering areas including education, nanomanufacturing, devices and systems, nanoscale phenomena, and government/venture/ social impact — at the Congress last November. Read more.

Sensors are focus of nanomechanics meeting
"Nanomechanics: Sensors and Actuators," presented by the ASME Nanotechnology Institute on May 18 and 19 in Reno, Nev., will build on and celebrate the 10-year anniversary of molecular recognition with micro- and nanocantilevers. Read more.

New IGTI conference to spotlight aero engine life-management-related issues
The new Aero Engine Life Management Conference is a specialized technical meeting focused on systems maintenance and management, diagnostics, monitoring, life prediction and repair. The conference, presented by IGTI, will be held March 2-3 at the Thistle Royal Horseguards Hotel in London. Read more.
It's not too late to participate in National Engineers Week 2004, which will be held from Feb. 22-28.
