ASME's Nanotechnology Institute launched five new committees at the
International Mechanical Engineering Congress last November.
ASME grants support public policy, education
At its meeting last November at the ASME Congress, the ASME Foundation
Board agreed to award $210,000 to important public policy, professional
development and education programs.
Diversity forum draws standing-room-only audience
"Diversity in Engineering Education and Workforce," the first
of its kind event hosted by ASME, drew a standing-room-only audience
during the 2003 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition
in Washington.
ASME Global Training honored
ASME's Global Training Program was recognized for its success in offering
live short courses to engineers and technical professionals in their
own native languages.
Nominations needed for 16 top-level Society officers
Twelve of those new leaders will be vice presidents.
Board on Diversity and Outreach awards record amount in grants
The Board on Diversity and Outreach (BDO) recently awarded $24,115 in
grants to 19 ASME student sections through its Diversity Action Grants
(DAG) Program.
