with schools
ASME International's Professional Development Dept.
is partnering with several universities to offer online courses leading to
graduate certificates and degrees at a discount for ASME members.
These universities include New Jersey Institute of Technology, Stevens Institute
of Technology and U.S. Open University.
ASME members will receive a 10 percent discount on tuition for these courses.
NJIT, Stevens and U.S. Open University offer degree programs, certificate
programs and credit courses. The degree programs include master's degrees
in Computing and Information Systems as well as a master's in Business
Administration (MBA).
Certificate programs are offered in Computer Networking, E-Commerce, Elements
of Computer Science, Information Systems Design and Development, Internet
Applications Development, Object-Oriented Design, Practice of Technical
Communications, Project Management, Technology Applications in Science Education,
Telecommunications Management, Telecommunications Networking and Wireless
Communications.
The partnerships also provide credit courses, such as Foundations of Senior
Management: Managing People; Foundations of Senior Management: Organizations
& Change; Organizational Behavior; Project Management; Managing; Computing:
An Object-Oriented Introduction I; Computing: An Object-Oriented Introduction
I and II (fast-track); Computing: Using an Object-Oriented Approach; Introducing
Java; Learning in Cyberspace; Putting Computer Systems to Work With C++;
Relational Database Systems; Software Engineering; The Net: Where It Came
From, How It Works; and The Story of the PC.
