ASME's insurance plan is expanded

Members say that insurance is one of their most valuable benefits of ASME membership.

Last month, ASME increased the value of that insurance benefit by expanding the coverage available to members — and did so at a discount.

Home insurance and auto insurance coverage are now available in addition to life insurance.

Members who are visiting the Membership & Benefits section of ASME's Web site, www.asme.org, can get a quote online for the coverage that they need. The insurance is available at a discount for ASME members through Travelers Insurance.

While waiting for an eQuote, members can read some tips that Travelers provides about how to lower their insurance costs, maintain a home and save money when buying a new car.
