A new tool for ASME members, ever hungry for information about career and job-search management, debuted last month at the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition in New Orleans.

ASME.org's Career Center — an online resource that members can access to post resumes and search job listings, among other benefits — is now sporting some new employment services, courtesy of MyJobCoach Inc., an online Web site that offers career advice and coaching.

Congress attendees received a preview of this new benefit during ASME's Career Fair, the Young Engineers Forum and the ASME Membership booth on the exhibit floor of R&D Expo.

The tools offered through the ASME JobCoach will appeal to all members, regardless of age or level of employment. Tips to help with annual reviews and compensation negotiations and how to craft an attention-catching resume are offered in addition to ideas for landing a new job.
