Nominating Committee makes selections for 2004 slate

During ASME's Summer Annual Meeting (SAM) in June, the 2003 Nominating Committee selected the nominees for several Society positions with terms beginning in June 2004.

These nominations will be voted on by the ASME membership in November.

Marc W. Goldsmith

Three members were nominated for at-large seats on the Board of Governors: William T. Cousins, Ph.D., P.E., who is serving as senior vice president of the Council on Member Affairs; Dirk F. Dauw, Ph.D., P.E., whose term as vice president of Region XIII expired during SAM, and Robert J. Simoneau, Ph.D., P.E., whose term as senior vice president of the Council on Education expired during SAM.

Ram G. Narula

The committee nominated 12 members for the offices of vice president: Leonard A. Anderson, P.E., for Region V; Douglas R. Brown for Region X; S. Dyer Harris, P.E., for Region III, and Robert E. Luna, Ph.D., P.E., for Region XII.

Also nominated for vice president were: Richard O. Buckius, Ph.D., for Basic Engineering; Marc W. Goldsmith, P.E., for Public Information; Richard T. Jacobsen, Ph.D., P.E., for Research; Lawrence Kielasa, P.E., for Energy Conversion;

Vincent Wilczynski

David F. Kokot, P.E., for Professional Practice; Ram G. Narula, P.E., for Standardization; Vincent Wilczynski for Pre-College Education, and John G. Yost, P.E., for Performance Test Codes.
