The ASME Foundation recently launched a new Web site to bring a new level of service to the Foundation's family of supporters.

"This site is about empowering people," said David Soukup, who is the executive director of the ASME Foundation. "It shows visitors how the Foundation makes a difference in people's lives, and gives them the chance to take part in that effort."

Although the new site, http://foundation.asme.org, will be continuously updated and improved, it is already a major improvement on the former Web presence.

Among its features, the new Web site incorporates updated designs, engaging graphics, improved navigation and additional information on the activities that are made possible by the Foundation's funding.

The site is also designed to be more accessible to people who are new to the ASME Foundation. It provides immediate information on Foundation activities and makes it easier for users to access different pages on the Foundation Web site.

Also new is the extensive section on planned gifts, which coincides with the recent introduction of the ASME Foundation's comprehensive Planned Giving Program.

Visitors to the Foundation Web site can learn about the ASME Charitable Gift Annuity and other giving vehicles. They may also use a new online Gift Calculator to get an idea of the kind of annual return they can expect from their gift.

"The ASME Foundation has always had a clear mission," Soukup said. "This site is a just a new tool in ASME's long tradition of philanthropic service."
