Armen's other goals are increasing the value of membership, and increasing global recognition, acceptance and use of ASME codes and standards as well as its conformity assessment programs.

During his term of office, Armen said he intends to achieve those goals by ensuring a timely link between ASME's strategic planning and the budget process. He also plans to institute fiscal responsibility, accountability and consistency with ASME's vision, goals and objectives, in all matters brought to the Board of Governors.
