Companies facilitating the development of nanotechnol-ogy
will have an opportunity to showcase their discoveries at Integrated
Nanosystems 2002: Design, Synthesis and Applications, from Sept. 18-20
in Berkeley, Calif.
Thus far, General Nanotechnology of Berkeley, Digital Instruments of
Santa Barbara and Vacuum Atmospheres Co. of Hawthorne, Calif., have
signed on to display their wares at the company showcase during the
event.
General Nanotechnology develops hardware and software in imaging, nanomanipulation,
nanofabrication, nanospectrophotometry, near-field optical probes, nanotools,
tips and parts.
Digital Instruments develops nanoscope scanning probe microscopes and,
through its 1998 merger with Veeco Instruments, provides technology
for semiconductors, data storage and telecommunications.
