An online salary survey is being conducted of ASME members who are working
full-time in the United States for non-government agencies.
Three Honorary Members are named
Three individuals were named Honorary Members of ASME at the Summer
Annual Meeting in June.
Scholarship is a product of
ASME and Heim Foundation collaboration
The initiative will take the form of a scholarship for a student pursuing
a graduate degree in mechanical engineering with career aspirations
in the field of space exploration.
Success of first-year-free offer
leads to expansion of student program
The overall growth of new student members and their retention have been
so high that an ASME program offering first-year-free membership to
engineering students has been expanded a second time to include a total
of 49 schools.
A century of service
In June, three long-time members of the ASME staff retired, collectively
representing more than a century of service.
