Fourth Dixy Lee Ray Symposium set for October

The Fourth International Dixy Lee Ray Memorial Symposium, to be held during October in Washington, will address a number of environmental issues during its technical sessions.

The symposium is sponsored by ASME, the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the U.S. Department of Energy and the Institute for Regulatory Science.

The meeting, which will take place from Oct. 16-18 at the Renaissance Washington D.C. Hotel, will include several distinct conferences on the topics of carbon dioxide sequestration, life-cycle analysis, long-term care of contaminated sites, recycling, technologies for emerging air pollution control requirements and other emerging environmental issues.

Registration is $300 for presenters, employees of federal and state government, and members of ASME and other sponsoring societies. It is $350 for all other attendees. Registration includes access to sessions and a copy of the journal Technology, which contains papers from the symposium.
