Section VIII, Division 1, Code Book and Training Package: Save $200

Do you understand the Section VIII, Division 1, Design & Fabrication of Pressure Vessels Code, but are unsure how to apply it practically? Do you have a general understanding of how pressure vessels are put together, but need to know the code?

ASME will help you learn and understand both.

ASME's Continuing Education Institute and Codes and Standards Department is offering the Section VIII, Division 1 Code with a computer-based training program. The price for the two is $1,095, a $200 saving off the regular price of $1,295.

The code on Section VIII, Division 1 provides requirements that are applicable to the design, fabrication, inspection, testing and certification of pressure vessels operating at either internal or external pressures exceeding 15 psig.

Such pressure vessels may be fired or unfired. Specific requirements apply to several classes of material used in pressure vessel construction, and also to fabrication methods such as welding, forging and brazing. It contains mandatory and nonmandatory appendices detailing supplementary design criteria, nondestructive examination and inspection acceptance standards.

Rules pertaining to the use of the U, UM and UV, UD Code symbol stamps are also included.

The computer-based training program will help you master the use of the Section VIII, Division 1 Code. This course is designed for you to study at your own pace and convenience. When you successfully complete the post-test, you can earn seven continuing education units.
