The guest luncheon sponsored by the ASME Auxiliary will be held in Philadelphia at 12:30 p.m on Tuesday, June 14. It will follow the ASME Auxiliary Annual Meeting. The luncheon will be at the Joseph Poon Asian Fusion Restaurant. Poon, the owner of the restaurant, will do a vegetable and fruit sculpture demonstration, once featured on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. The cost of the luncheon will be $18. To make reservations, please call (800) 843-2763 or (800) THE-ASME.

The continuations of the additional revisions to the bylaws of the ASME Auxiliary approved at the November meeting are:

Three new standing committees were added. They are the ASME Foundation, Lucy and Charles W.E. Clarke Scholarship, and ASME/ASME Auxiliary FIRST Clarke Scholarship Committees. In the case of the jointly administered Clarke Committees, if the chairmanship of a committee rotates to an ASME member who is not a member of the Auxiliary, then that chairman shall serve as a nonvoting member of the National Board. The Clarke Committees consist of seven members each. Three members of each committee are appointed by the Auxiliary president and three members by the senior vice president of the Centers Sector. The seventh member of both of the Clarke Committees is the executive director of the ASME Foundation — staff liaison to the ASME Auxiliary, serving ex-officio.

The ASME Foundation Committee shall serve as a liaison between the ASME Foundation and the Auxiliary.

The courtesy chairman shall send a note or letter of appreciation to retiring members of the National Board.

The Membership-Expansion Committee shall oversee the Associate Member category. The chairman shall write a welcoming letter to each new member of the Auxiliary.

The chairman of the Membership Records Committee shall supply application forms to applicants for Associate Member.
