ASME members can receive MIT course discount

ASME's Continuing Education Institute is working with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to promote the university's Summer Professional Institute weeklong courses, which will run this June, July and August. ASME members will have the chance to get a 10 percent discount on the cost of tuition.

The courses offered at the MIT Professional Institute will give participants unparalleled access to some of the top experts in a variety of fields.

Courses are available in the areas of biotechnical and pharmaceutical, computer engineering, energy and environment, manufacturing and automotive, organizations, policy, economy, physics, optics, astronomy, system design, data and models, and transportation systems.

Each course takes one week to complete and is taught by MIT faculty. The cost of a course varies from $1,800 to $3,000, with most in the $2,500 range. ASME members will receive an additional 10 percent discount off tuition if they register at least six weeks before the program begins. All courses are taught on the MIT campus in Cambridge, Mass.
