The Auxiliary luncheon, to be held in Atlanta on June 17 during ASME's Summer Annual Meeting, will feature Nancy Apple, a ceramic artist from Marietta, Ga., who has worked in ceramics for many years at the studio in her backyard.

In the old barn that comprises her studio, she works in clay and teaches ceramics. She has conducted many workshops in her local area for children and adults. Her presentation on June 17 will include what happens to clay and glazes in the firing as well as in the making of an object. She will also bring along examples of her work.

The luncheon will be held in the Zodiac Room of Neiman Marcus at Lenox Square in Atlanta. We will leave the Hilton in downtown Atlanta and take the Marta (subway) to Lenox Square, or, if that is not acceptable to some, they may elect to share taxies.

The luncheon will cost $15, not including transportation. It is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. Tickets may be obtained prior to the luncheon by calling ASME headquarters at (800) 843-2763.
