Don't forget: ASME's Public Affairs Leadership Conference is next month. The meeting, sponsored by the Society's Council on Public Affairs, will be held from May 5-7 at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town in Alexandria, Va.

PALC, a three-day training session for ASME members who are interested in the Society's Public Affairs program, will feature presentations on multidisciplinary thinking, a panel session on inclusiveness within ASME, a workshop on protecting intellectual property and a discussion on increasing public awareness of engineering.

The conference will also give you the opportunity to visit your congressional representatives, take part in discussions with senior government officials on engineering-related public policy, and learn about findings from a new study on emerging issues and trends that affect mechanical engineers.

You can even register online at www.asme.org/gric/palc. To find out more, contact Allian Pratt at (202) 785-3756, e-mail: pratta@ asme.org.
